Connectivity
Every input you want, no adapter required.
A single upstream USB-C carries 5K, USB data, and up to 100 W of Power Delivery — compatible with Thunderbolt 4/5 and USB4. Refresh reaches 165 Hz on M4 / M5 Macs; M1–M3 and Intel Macs (2020 or newer) display 5K at 60 Hz over the same cable. DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20 drives native 5K at 180 Hz on a PC with a compatible GPU.

Dual refresh mode
One switch. Two experiences.
Work in native 5K up to 180 Hz. Switch to 2560 × 1440 up to 330 Hz when a competitive shooter demands every frame. Maximum refresh requires DisplayPort 2.1.

Stand and orientation
Adjustable height, tilt, and swivel.
The Kuycon stand lets you adjust tilt, swivel, and height, and rotate the display into portrait. The stand is sold separately — every Kuycon P27Z ships with a VESA 100 × 100 adapter to mount it on any compatible arm or wall mount.
- Tilt −5° to 20°
- Swivel ±30°
- Height up to 120 mm
- 90° portrait rotation
- VESA 100×100 adapter included
Contrast is the difference between the brightest and darkest parts of an image — a challenge to reproduce on a display, and the reason High Dynamic Range (HDR) exists. With advanced IPS display technology, the Kuycon P27Z takes brightness, contrast, and color to a new level.

Brightness and contrast
Deep blacks, controlled highlights.
Most desktop displays hold around 300 nits. Many pro displays exceed that briefly, then drop the moment a bright scene settles in. The P27Z sustains 600 nits of full-screen brightness — deep, controlled highlights that never falter — paired with 1500:1 contrast for true depth in the shadows.

Color accuracy
A billion colors, faithfully reproduced.
Every Kuycon P27Z leaves the factory with individual color calibration, so the image you see matches the one your software produces. Over a billion 10-bit colors, a wide gamut covering 99 % of sRGB and 98 % of DCI-P3, and subtle gradients that hold — no banding, no drift across the panel. Photography, color grading, and brand work rendered exactly as intended.

Brightness control
Adjust it from your keyboard.
The DDC/CI protocol lets your system control brightness directly. On Mac, use the built-in F1/F2 keys; on Windows, TwinkleTray or MonitorControl; on Linux, ddcutil.

Frequently asked questions
Your questions, answered.
What is the Kuycon P27Z?
The Kuycon P27Z is a 27-inch glossy 5K display with a dual refresh mode — native 5K (5120 × 2880) up to 180 Hz for creators, or QHD (2560 × 1440) at 330 Hz for esports. 600 nits of sustained brightness, 1500:1 contrast, 10-bit color, 99 % sRGB / 98 % DCI-P3.
Which Macs are compatible?
Any Mac with USB-C / Thunderbolt 3 or newer. Apple Silicon M4 / M5 drive 5K up to 165 Hz over a single Thunderbolt cable. Earlier Apple Silicon (M1–M3) and Intel Macs from Tiger Lake onward display 5K at 60 Hz. You get 100 W of Power Delivery in the reverse direction, so your MacBook charges from the display.
Does it work with Windows and Linux?
Yes, natively. On Windows, connect via DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20 (for 5K at 180 Hz on RTX 50 series), HDMI 2.1, or USB-C / Thunderbolt. On Linux, the P27Z works out of the box under Wayland and X11 — brightness via ddcutil, with no vendor driver.
What do I need to reach 5K at 180 Hz?
A GPU with DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20 — today, the Nvidia RTX 50 series (Blackwell). RTX 40 / 30 / 20 and AMD RDNA 2–4 display 5K at 165 Hz. All of them can switch to QHD 330 Hz mode for competitive shooters.
Is 330 Hz mode at full resolution?
No — 330 Hz runs at QHD (2560 × 1440) on the same panel. It's an integer scale from native 5K (exactly 2× on each axis), so pixels line up cleanly with no blur. You switch between modes via the OSD or a keyboard shortcut.
Glossy or matte?
Glossy. The P27Z uses an anti-reflective glossy coating for the deepest blacks and the most accurate colors — the same surface as the Kuycon G27P. If you prefer matte, see the Kuycon G32X.
Is the stand included?
The stand is sold separately. Every P27Z ships with a VESA 100 × 100 adapter to mount it on any compatible arm or wall mount. The optional Kuycon stand adjusts tilt, swivel, and height and rotates into portrait.
Is the display factory calibrated?
Yes. Every P27Z is factory calibrated to 99 % sRGB and 98 % DCI-P3 with 10-bit depth (8-bit + FRC, 1.07 billion colors). Individual calibration ensures the image matches what your software produces.
Does it support HDR?
The P27Z is VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified and supports HDR10. The panel sustains 600 nits across the entire screen — not just the highlights — with 1500:1 contrast. HDR activates automatically on compatible content.
What about game consoles?
Connect a PS5 or Xbox Series X/S via HDMI 2.1 for 4K at 120 Hz HDR. Console output is scaled to the display's native panel.
What is the display made of?
The chassis is CNC-machined anodized aluminum and the front face is a single piece of glossy glass with an anti-reflective coating. No plastic on visible surfaces, no screws on the frame — the same manufacturing philosophy as the Kuycon G27P.
How do the warranty and returns work?
The P27Z is covered by a one-year limited warranty. Returns for covered defects are accepted within 7 days of delivery; beyond that, the unit is repaired or replaced under warranty for the remainder of the first year.
