Two 32-inch 4K monitors, one decision

The P32T and the P32K share the same 32-inch size and the same 4K resolution. The P32T goes further on speed, colour, HDR and ports, for a small difference in price. Here is exactly what changes, and who each one is for.

What they have in common

Both are 32-inch 4K monitors at 139 pixels per inch, with the same 500 nits of brightness, the same 1000:1 contrast, a 10-bit panel and a glossy finish. Both connect to a laptop over a single USB-C cable that carries the image, the USB data and up to 100 W of charging, and both mount on a standard VESA 100 x 100. For office work, code and web browsing, you will not see a difference between them.

Speed: 160 Hz, and a 320 Hz mode

The P32T runs its 4K panel at up to 160 Hz, against 144 Hz for the P32K. It also has a dual mode: it switches to Full HD at up to 320 Hz for competitive games. Full HD is exactly half of 4K on each axis, so every image pixel is drawn by a block of 2 x 2 physical pixels, without blur. We explain this principle in detail in our article on dual-mode monitors.

Colour: 98 % DCI-P3 and a calibration report

Both cover 99 % of sRGB, the colour space of the web and of most office work. The difference appears with wider colour: the P32T covers 98 % of DCI-P3, the space of digital cinema and of Apple devices, against 92 % for the P32K. Each P32T is also calibrated at the factory to a Delta-E below 2, with its colour report in the box.

HDR and ports

The P32T is certified HDR 600, where the P32K simply supports HDR. And it has two HDMI 2.1 ports instead of one: a games console and a PC, or two consoles, stay connected at the same time, with nothing to unplug. Its USB-C input is also compatible with Thunderbolt 4 and 5 and with USB4.

When the P32K is all you need

If your monitor is mainly for a Mac or a PC at work, if 144 Hz is already smooth enough for your games, and if your colour work stays in sRGB, the P32K gives you the same 32-inch 4K canvas for about 6 % less. It remains an excellent monitor, and you lose nothing on brightness, sharpness or connection to a laptop.

The simple rule: photo, video, HDR or competitive gaming, take the P32T. Office work, code and casual gaming on a tighter budget, take the P32K.

Our recommendation

Photo and video editing, HDR content: the P32T, for its 98 % DCI-P3 and its calibration report.
Competitive gaming, two consoles: the P32T, for 320 Hz and its two HDMI 2.1 ports.
Office work, code, everyday use: the P32K.

FAQ

P32T or P32K: frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the P32T and the P32K?

Both are 32-inch 4K monitors at 139 ppi with 500 nits and USB-C 100 W. The P32T adds 160 Hz (320 Hz in Full HD), 98 % DCI-P3 instead of 92 %, a factory calibration with a Delta-E below 2, HDR 600 and a second HDMI 2.1 port.

Does the P32T reach 320 Hz in 4K?

No. The P32T runs at up to 160 Hz in 4K and switches to 320 Hz in Full HD (1920 x 1080), which is exactly half of 4K on each axis, so the image stays clean.

Which one for photo and video editing?

The P32T: it covers 98 % of DCI-P3 against 92 % for the P32K, and each unit is calibrated at the factory to a Delta-E below 2, with its colour report included.

Do both work with a Mac on a single cable?

Yes. Both connect over USB-C, which carries the image, the USB data and up to 100 W of charging for a MacBook, with no driver to install.

Is the P32T worth the extra cost?

Yes if you work on colour, play competitive games or connect two devices over HDMI: the difference in price is about 6 %. For office work and casual gaming, the P32K offers the same 4K canvas.
