The Kuycon Q34W from every angle.

Perforated back, your choice at purchase.
Plain back: solid aluminum.
Three-quarter view: a flat screen with thin bezels.
From the back, perforated version.
In profile: 22 mm thick.
From the front: 21:9, the full width for gaming.
From the front: thin bezels on three sides.
21:9 aspect ratio
80 centimeters wide. No bezel in the middle of your desk.
The Kuycon Q34W displays 3440 × 1440 pixels on 34 inches: the height of a 27-inch 2560 × 1440 monitor, with 880 more pixels in width, or a third more space. An editing timeline, a music session, a spreadsheet or two documents side by side fit on a single panel, without the bezels of two monitors placed next to each other.
At 109 ppi, the Q34W has the same density as a 27-inch 2560 × 1440 monitor: macOS displays it at its native resolution, with text and menus at their usual size. It does not reach the sharpness of 27-inch 5K displays (218 ppi), and offers much more space in return. The panel is flat: straight lines stay straight, for photography, layout and architecture.

34 inches 80 cm
27 inches 60 cm
- 4.95 million pixels, 34% more than a 2560 × 1440 monitor
- 3440 pixels wide, 880 more than a 27-inch 2560 × 1440 monitor
- 80 cm of panel width, a third more than a 27-inch display
34 inches. 21:9. 165 Hz.
A flat screen under anti-reflective glossy glass, in a 22 mm thick aluminum chassis.
165 Hz
Smooth for work. Fast for gaming.
The Q34W refreshes the picture up to 165 times per second over USB-C and DisplayPort, with a 5 ms response time. Scrolling through a page, a timeline or a spreadsheet stays sharp, and games feel smoother.
- 165 Hz USB-C and DisplayPort
- 5 ms Response time (GtG)
- 100 Hz Over HDMI
AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible, with three levels of response time acceleration (overdrive) in the monitor's menu. For consoles, the HDMI 2.0 input goes up to 100 Hz at 3440 × 1440.

Fast IPS panel
600 nits under glossy glass. Vivid colors, reduced reflections.
The Q34W's Fast IPS panel delivers 600 nits across the whole screen, with a 1000:1 contrast ratio. It is bonded to glossy glass with an anti-reflective coating, with no air gap: colors keep their vibrancy, and reflections from a window or a lamp stay discreet.
- 600 nits Full screen
- 1000:1 Contrast
- HDR10 Over USB-C, DisplayPort and HDMI
Good to know: HDR is automatic by default and can be turned off in the monitor's menu. On a Mac, the "High Dynamic Range" option in Displays settings appears depending on the Mac model. A paper-like black and white grayscale mode (E-Mode) can also be selected in the menu.

Color
Over a billion colors. Accurate from edge to edge.
The Q34W displays 10-bit color, or 1.07 billion shades. It covers 99% of sRGB, the web standard, and 96% of DCI-P3, the digital cinema gamut with the same primaries as the Display P3 of Macs, with a ΔE below 2. An sRGB mode limits the gamut for work intended for the web.
- 10-bit 1.07 billion colors
- 96% DCI-P3
- 99% sRGB
Good to know: 10-bit color is available up to 120 Hz; at 144 and 165 Hz, the monitor switches to 8-bit, as it does not use image compression (DSC). Tip: the first time you connect it, choose the monitor's color profile in System Settings, Displays, or adjust it with a colorimeter.

Connectivity
Ultrawide USB-C 100 W monitor. One cable for video, data and charging.
On the Q34W's USB-C port, a single cable carries the picture at 165 Hz, charges the MacBook at up to 100 W and connects the monitor's two USB-C ports. For a PC or a console: one DisplayPort 1.4 at 165 Hz and one HDMI 2.0 at 100 Hz.

Built-in power supply
A single power cord, no external power brick. EU, UK, US, AU or CN plug, your choice.
The monitor's USB-C port connects to the Thunderbolt 3, 4 or 5 and USB4 ports of Macs and PCs. For 165 Hz, use the included USB4 cable (40 Gbps, 5 A) or a USB 3.2 Gen 2 or USB4 cable; for 100 W charging, a 5 A USB-C cable with an e-marker chip. On a PC, 165 Hz requires a DisplayPort 1.4 or USB-C output: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 and newer, AMD Radeon RX 5500 and newer, 10th-generation Intel Iris graphics and newer.
Mac compatibility
Which Macs run the Q34W? Every Mac with an M-series chip, over a single cable.
Every Apple Silicon Mac, from the M1 chip to the M5 chip, displays the Q34W at 3440 × 1440 over a single USB-C cable, with 100 W charging. It goes up to 165 Hz on Macs with M4 and later, as it does on M2 Pro, M2 Max, M2 Ultra, M3 Pro, M3 Max and M3 Ultra; it stays at 60 Hz on M1 (all versions), M2 and M3.
| Chip | Refresh rate at 3440 × 1440 |
|---|---|
| M4, M4 Pro, M4 Max and later including M5 and M5 Ultra | 165 Hz a single USB-C cable |
| M5 Pro, M5 Max* | 165 Hz* |
| M2 Pro, M2 Max, M2 Ultra, M3 Pro, M3 Max, M3 Ultra | 165 Hz a single USB-C cable |
| M1 Pro, M1 Max, M1 Ultra | 60 Hz |
| M1, M2, M3 | 60 Hz |
| iPad Air and iPad Pro USB-C port | 60 Hz iPadOS limit |
| MacBook Neo A18 Pro chip | 60 Hz one external display up to 4K 60 Hz |
Maximum refresh rate of the Q34W at 3440 × 1440 by chip, with a single external display connected, over USB-C or DisplayPort. Over HDMI, the monitor tops out at 100 Hz. On M1, M2 and M3 chips, Apple only guarantees 60 Hz for an external display.
- * MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max. Since March 2026, users of displays from several brands have reported a macOS bug: over USB-C or Thunderbolt, displays set above 60 Hz can drop back to 60 Hz. Apple has not released any fix to date; macOS 27 Golden Gate should normally fix it. In the meantime, the Mac's HDMI port works around the problem: the Q34W's HDMI input then accepts 100 Hz. The base M5, MacBook Air and Mac mini with M4 are not affected. The bug and its workarounds
- Multiple displays. With two or more external displays, Apple sets a maximum per display for each chip: the Q34W's refresh rate may then drop.
- Intel Macs. The Q34W works with 2017 and later Intel iMac models, the 2019 Mac Pro and 2020 and later Macs with integrated Intel graphics (10th-generation Intel Core), over Thunderbolt 3; the refresh rate depends on the graphics card.
Design
Aluminum, edge to edge. A plain back, or perforated.
The Q34W's chassis is machined from aluminum alloy, sandblasted then anodized; the front is glass, with thin, even bezels. You choose the back when you buy: plain, in solid aluminum, or perforated with two wide honeycomb-pattern strips.
- CNC-machined aluminum alloy, sandblasted and anodized

"I bought two Kuycon Q34W monitors with a clean design on the French website and set them up in my music studio. Delivery in France took 4 days, which is perfectly fine. The monitors match the description exactly; the glossy panel delivers a beautiful image with vivid colours and good brightness, which is very pleasant for music production. Installation was trouble-free and everything feels high quality. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and the value for money."

Frequently asked questions
Which Macs run the Q34W at 165 Hz?
Every Mac with an M1 to M5 chip displays it at 3440 × 1440 over a single USB-C cable, with 100 W charging. It goes up to 165 Hz on Macs with M4 and later and on M2 Pro, M2 Max, M2 Ultra, M3 Pro, M3 Max and M3 Ultra. On M1 (all versions), M2 and M3, Apple only guarantees 60 Hz for an external display: expect 60 Hz.
Is the Q34W curved?
No. The Q34W is a flat monitor: straight lines stay straight, for photography, layout, architecture or two people working in front of the screen.
Is my MacBook Pro with M5 Pro or M5 Max affected by the high refresh rate display bug?
Yes, it can be. Users of displays from several brands report that over USB-C or Thunderbolt, macOS sometimes brings displays set to a higher refresh rate back down to 60 Hz. Apple has not released any fix to date; macOS 27 Golden Gate should normally fix it. In the meantime, connect the Q34W to the Mac's HDMI port: it then goes up to 100 Hz. The base M5 is not affected.
Is text as sharp as on a 5K display?
No. The Q34W displays 109 pixels per inch, compared with 218 for a 27-inch 5K display. macOS uses it at its native resolution, with text and menus at their usual size, as on a 27-inch 2560 × 1440 monitor. For sharper text on 34 inches, the W34KB goes up to 5120 × 2160.
Is one cable enough to connect a MacBook?
Yes. The included USB4 cable carries the picture at 165 Hz, up to 100 W of charging and the data for the monitor's two USB-C ports. For 100 W charging with another cable, choose a 5 A USB-C cable with an e-marker chip.
What ports does the Q34W have?
One USB-C upstream port (video, data and 100 W charging), one DisplayPort 1.4 and one HDMI 2.0, two USB-C downstream ports at USB 2.0 speed and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. USB-C and DisplayPort go up to 165 Hz, HDMI up to 100 Hz. The power supply is built in.
Is the Q34W good for gaming?
Yes: 165 Hz over DisplayPort and USB-C, 5 ms response time, AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility. Consoles connect over HDMI, which goes up to 100 Hz.
Is the screen matte or glossy?
Glossy, with an anti-reflective coating: the glass is bonded to the panel, with no air gap. Colors keep their vibrancy and reflections stay discreet; facing a window in direct sunlight, a matte screen reflects less.
What is the difference between the plain back and the perforated back?
Only the look: the plain back is solid aluminum, the perforated back has two wide honeycomb-pattern strips. The panel, ports and refresh rate are identical. You choose the back when you buy.
Is the stand included?
You choose the mount when you buy: fixed stand or height-adjustable stand. The 100 × 100 VESA adapter comes with the monitor, for a monitor arm or a wall mount.
Does the Q34W support HDR?
It supports HDR10 over HDMI, DisplayPort and USB-C, with 600 nits full screen. HDR is automatic by default and can be turned off in the monitor's menu; on a Mac, the "High Dynamic Range" option appears depending on the model.
Does the Q34W have a camera or speakers?
No. Sound goes through the 3.5 mm jack output to headphones or speakers; for video calls, use your Mac's camera or an external camera.
What warranty do I get, and will I pay taxes?
2-year warranty worldwide. Kuycon does not charge any taxes: at checkout, you choose DDP (import fees paid in advance, nothing to pay on arrival) or DAP (VAT and duties paid to the carrier on delivery), depending on the options available in your country.
How long does delivery take?
To an EU country, express delivery from our EU warehouse takes 48 to 96 h, subject to stock availability. Otherwise, the monitor ships from the factory: 5 to 10 business days by Air Express DAP, 10 to 20 business days by Air Express DDP, 30 to 40 business days by truck with DDP. You then have 14 days to change your mind.
