Position the area
Move and resize the flashing window to precisely cover the stuck pixel.
Let it run
Allow 10 to 30 minutes, up to 1 hour. Repeat if needed. The pixel often unsticks on its own.
Frequently asked questions
Stuck pixel vs dead pixel, what is the difference?
A stuck pixel stays lit on one color and can often be repaired. A dead pixel stays permanently black, with no power, and usually cannot be fixed by software.
Is it safe for my screen?
Yes, the method is widely used and considered safe. Just avoid running it on a loop for entire days. On OLED panels, keep sessions short.
How long does it take, and does it always work?
From a few minutes to a few hours. Success is not guaranteed: expect roughly a 70% chance of reviving a stuck pixel. Start with a 10 to 30 minute session and repeat.
What if it does not work?
Some pixels cannot be fixed. If your Kuycon screen is under warranty, contact our support. Avoid pressing on the panel, which can damage it.
Does it work on OLED, laptop and phone screens?
Yes. It works on any screen shown in a browser: OLED and LCD monitors, laptops, tablets and phones. On OLED, keep sessions short to avoid any risk of image retention.
How do I know if the pixel is fixed?
After a session, run Test my screen again on solid colors. If the dot is gone on every color, the pixel is repaired. If it persists, repeat the repair a few times.
